A colleague of mine, Jimmy, a senior manager wanted his brother who worked as merchandizer to be promoted to fill a newly vacated position in 
the sales dept. To push his cause, he had performance reports shown to the company proprietor who agreed to the promotion and started pushing his case to everyone possible
However he was adamant that the brother should get those customers where he was working for the past few years as merchandizer and had good relationships and was responsible for their performance.
